Carol A. Farrell, 75, of Yatesville, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 30, 2015, at the Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. She and her husband, John R. Farrell, Sr., celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on December 7, 2014.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late George and Kathleen Esser Boston. She attended GAR High school, Wilkes-Barre.

Carol was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was the matriarch of her family and was cherished by all who knew and loved her. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo and her trips to the casinos.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Linda Farrell, Wilkes-Barre; Roxanne Wech and husband, David, Jenkins Twp.; Sheri Rinaldi and fiancée, Kevin Bednarsky, Kingston Twp.; son, John R. Farrell, Jr. and wife, Colleen, Avoca; grandchildren, Lisa Mancini, Brian Graham, Cheryl Alu, Amber and Olivia Rinaldi and Logan Bednarsky; six great grandchildren and another one on the way in a few weeks; sister, Joan Boston, Wilkes-Barre; several nieces and nephews, including Joseph Farrell and wife, Ann.

Carol was preceded in death by brothers, George and William Boston and sisters, Nancy Roberts and Karen Boston.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. in Baloga Funeral Home, Inc. 1201 Main Street Pittston (Port Griffith), with Rev. James A. Wert, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. & 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
