Frank "Harpo" Louis Gallo, 86, of Laflin, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.. He and his wife Betty Sekusky Gallo, would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 22nd.
Born in Pittston, he was a son of the late Frank, Sr. and Caroline Derose Gallo. He was a graduate of Pittston High School, Class of 1955. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Lady Carol, Duryea and Pittston Apparel. Frank managed the Pittston Apparel softball championships and numerous softball teams in Pittston. He was a member of St. Rocco's Church, Pittston, until its closure. He was an avid member of the Pittston Social Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother, Sam Gallo and companion, Margaret Grivner; sister, Jean Gallo Clonan; nieces and nephews: Rosemary (John) Zielinski; Holly (Mark) France; Dwayne France; Paula (Brian) Custer; Donna (Keith) Oldham; Carol Suriano; Angie (Kenneth) Salvo; Mike (Arlene) Clonan; Patty (Mike) Mazur and Jo-Anne (Anthony) Salerno; great nieces and great nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Nicole Gallo; sisters, Frances Gallo Suriano; Ann Gallo and Rita Gallo Reese.
A Blessing Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, January 22, 2024, in Baloga Funeral Home Inc., 1201 Main St., Pittston (Port Griffith). Interment will be in Mountain View Burial Park, Harding.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
