Patricia Louise Wnuk Sralik - Saturday, 7/26/2025

Patricia Louise Sralik (Wnuk) passed away April 24th, 2025. She was in such a peaceful place with top care and died in a happy state knowing she was safe and loved. She is blessed and in God's hands now.

She was born 03-12-1939 in Luzerne County, Fisherdale, PA. Her mom Francis was born in the Wilkes Barre area and her father Andrew Wnuk, Wola Mielecka, Poland. She resided in Pittston, PA. Pat was top of her class from elementary school through college, was an artist, a piano player, involved in the theater, a tennis player, skier and spoke fluent Polish. She attended Mercy Hospital Nursing School, Wilkes College in Wilkes Barre and Hunter College in NY. She worked in Manhattan as a staff nurse in chest surgery, Wilkes Barre and Wash. D.C. as a scrub/ circulating nurse. While raising her two children, in Bensalem, PA, Patricia worked for 22 years as supervisor, training coordinator, and inservice instructor for a 224 bed nursing home. She was a pillar of strength, courage, unwavering love and dedicated to her family.

She is survived by her children Michelle Golla, 58, David Sralik, 57, four grandchildren: Eve-30, Rachel-28, Sam-26, Joshua-17, a brother John Wnuk and sister Carol Barrette. She was preceded in death by her husband John who recently passed on Christmas Day, 2023, her sister Martha Broda and Marie Zaremba. In addition, she lost two siblings at a very young age and 5 half siblings.

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, there will be a blessing service at 10:00 AM in Baloga Funeral Home, Inc., 1201 Main Street, Pittston, PA, where my mom grew up. She will then be buried with her mom, dad and grandparents in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Port Griffith. Lunch to follow. Those who knew my mom are welcome. In addition, this will be a family reunion of the extended Wnuk family to celebrate all the joy my mom brought to everyone who had the pleasure to have known her.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects during a celebration of Patricia's life on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. As per the family's request everyone is asked to come dressed in bright colors.
